(ARA) - The majority of employers in the United States require individuals to have a high school diploma or equivalent. So, for the 15 percent of the U.S. population who do not have a high school diploma, obtaining employment and quality pay continues to be a challenge.
Reports from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics found that people with a high school diploma earn approximately $9,000 more per year than individuals who do not have a high school diploma. The fact remains that life without a high school diploma continues to be more challenging than ever in today's increasingly educated world.
There is hope, however, for those wishing to complete their studies and earn the high school diploma that eluded them in the past. An increasing number of adults are turning to distance learning schools to help them get the diploma they need to get ahead and change their lives.
Distance learning schools such as Stratford Career Institute, allow students to study at home for their high school diploma. This way, students can study when and where it is most convenient for them, enabling them to work around their current job or busy schedule. In addition, most distance learning schools offer the option to make low monthly tuition payments, and give students up to 2 years to complete the program.
"I can honestly say that obtaining my high school diploma was more convenient than I thought it would be," says a student who completed Stratford's high school diploma program.
Getting a high school diploma can open up many doors for people. In addition to the personal satisfaction associated with achieving this goal, a high school diploma can help people make more money, get promoted, start a new career or further their education.
"Now that I received my diploma from Stratford Career Institute," adds another Stratford Career Institute high school diploma program graduate, "I don't feel like I have to settle for anything that comes along."
