Patients in Colorado were recently treated to a free dental clinic, where more than $1 million worth of work was carried out.

The Colorado Mission of Mercy was in operation for 12 hours each day and gave the free dental care out to those who appeared on the site, the ReporterHerald said.

State chairman at the Colorado Dental Society event Dr John Hanck remarked that the move was great for the community and that a great deal of hard work went into its creation.

"Many of these people have taken care of their kids and they have put their own dental care off," he commented.

He added that it is fantastic for people who can smile once again, which is a relief in itself alongside the removal of pain.

Most dental work was available at the event, including fillings, bridges and more general cleaning. A similar clinic was on hand for members of the general public in Alamosa last October.

Another free dental service in the US is in need of assistance because more people wish to use it, reports KCBY.com. The mobile dental van, given sponsorship from Oregon Coast Community Action, travels around the location a number of times a year and offers various clinic amenities. ADNFCR-1507-ID-18696134-ADNFCR
