Low cost dental insurance could lower demand for free dental care

Low cost dental insurance could lower demand for free dental care One dentist's office in Whitehall, Michigan is trying to improve the dental health of adults and children by providing free dental care for one day this month, according to the Muskegon Chronicle.

The first 150-200 patients who show up will be allowed to receive the free care. Jared Van Ittersum, one of the dentists who will administer the exams tells the Chronicle that people who do not have dental insurance plans sometimes ignore their dental hygiene and "that's how little things become very bad things very quickly."

The number of people who have lost their dental insurance plans or coverage may have gone up because of the bad economy, and the number of people who are getting laid off continues to remain high. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, nearly 144,000 people lost their jobs in July. This could mean there are many more people who now need dental insurance.

One way people can fix the problem of waiting in line for free dental care is by looking for low-cost dental insurance. Discounted dental plans provide many different options when trying to find affordable care for individuals and their families.
