As the economy continues at a slow pace, many people may have lost their jobs and dental insurance. Fortunately, workers at a dentist's office in Oconomowac, Wisconsin are volunteering their time to help those in need of dental care.
According to Bloomberg, the nation's economy saw the biggest drop since the great depression. Workers at this practice are trying to ease the losses in insurance the suffering economy may have caused some individuals.
Dentists James Leaman, Stacey Piacsek and Joseph Setnicar say that "many in our community have been severely affected by the recent economic downturn and loss of employment. It is our hope to ease this burden, even if only in a small way," according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
For one day this month, they will provide individuals with several different options of dental care such as exams, fillings or cleanings. The Journal reports that anyone can attend the free services, and the volunteers believe a large number of people will show up.
One way individuals and their families can access affordable care during a rough economy is through discounted dental plans.
