Dental care can be extremely expensive, which is why people should look for discount dental plans to help them find a dentist near them that will provide care at an affordable price. This is important, since according to a recent article by Reuters, nearly one-third of people surveyed said that they would be open to traveling to another country for cheap basic medical work, including dental care, which is something no one should have to do.
According to a poll conducted by global market research company Ipsos, people from all over the world are open to travelling to find more affordable medical treatments, with dental work topping the list.
"The concept of medical tourism is well accepted in many countries," Nicolas Boyon, senior vice president of Ipsos Public Affairs, told the news source. "With the exception of Japan there are at least one-third of consumers in every country we covered that are open to the idea."
According to a report by Frontline, there are more than 100 million Americans who don't have dental insurance. These individuals should look into discount dental plans, rather than resorting to travelling internationally for care.
