A brighter smile may be a way to make a good first impression
When looking to get a whiter smile, there are many products and foods that a person can try to brighten their teeth. It will be difficult for these methods to be effective, however, if an individual is not getting regular check-ups with their local dentist. Recently, Phillips, the makers of toothbrushes and whitening kits released their "Get it Right" campaign aimed at educating people on the the importance of proper teeth maintenance and visiting a dental professional.
The company commissioned a survey that found that 89 percent of people agree that a white smile is a good way to make a positive first impression. Also, Phillips found that 53 percent of people are unsatisfied with their teeth and would be interested in receiving professional brightening.
"Many factors must be considered when whitening a smile, such as teeth sensitivity or a medical condition. No one knows more about oral health than a dental professional who can help advise patients about whitening options, including professional treatments, to ensure safe results for an optimal smile," explained Bill Dorfman, D.D.S.
Going to a dentist is the best way to ensure proper oral care. There are many affordable dental plans that can help connect all individuals to a dental professional.
