The pharmacy franchise business Rite Aid is attempting to do its part in encouraging oral health by offering its customers a variety of promotional incentives and informational resources.
The pharmacy's campaign will begin the week of August 2. As one of its promotional aspects, customers who spend $25 or more on dental care products will earn $5 worth of store credit through the store's +UP Rewards program. This incentive will be available until September 27.
Informational brochures listing data, prevention methods and treatment options for dental health issues will be handed out to customers throughout this promotion. These pamphlets also provide a variety of possible methods by which parents can teach their children about the importance of proper oral hygiene.
Robert Thompson, Executive Vice President of Rite Aid, confirmed that store pharmacists would be available to answer customers' oral health queries.
"Our pharmacists can show patients that by practicing smart dental habits, they're taking steps to protect their mouth and overall health for years to come," Thompson said.
Periodontal disease, covered in the brochures, is one of the prominent dental issues affecting contemporary Americans. According to the American Dental Association, individuals with no warning signs may be afflicted by the condition, necessitating regular dental checkups.
