Two California dentists partner to improve cosmetic dentistry services

Two California dentists partner to improve cosmetic dentistry services Dental patients in some areas of the country who are in need of cosmetic dental services will now be able to receive treatments through a new partnership, in which multiple dental specialists will work under the same roof.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports that two dentists - Joseph Field and Bruce Hartley - have combined their efforts at the Peninsula Center of Cosmetic Dentistry in California. Hartley told the newspaper that before the partnership, other specialists had to be brought in or patients had to be referred out to a professional out of the office. He added that now, "we can offer everything in one place."

Field explained to the news source that when individuals are set to undergo cosmetic dental treatment, they can see up to three different dentists before the services are rendered. As a result, there is a lack of continuity and could lead to a poorer outcome for the patient.

Now, Field will be able to take care of the general dental services while Hartley practices cosmetic dentistry, which offers patients faster access to treatments, according to the news provider.

According to the National Institutes of Health, cosmetic dental work includes bleaching teeth, closing gaps or covering teeth with porcelain crowns. Individuals who wish to seek these types of treatments could find affordable, low-cost dental care.
