A dentist in Florida claims his braces work just like everyone else's, except patients only need them for half as long.
There are now computer-designed braces that reportedly straighten teeth about twice as fast as the traditional models. Dr David Lach lives in Orlando and was apparently the first dentist in Florida to offer his patients these braces.
"Our patients are now thrilled they are getting their brand new smile up to a full year sooner than they would have using old fashioned traditional braces," he says. "Many of our patients are discovering they are in fact saving a lot of time and money choosing this method over traditional braces. It is much more fun for me to deliver high quality smiles in such a short time."
One of the benefits of having straight teeth is that they can be easier to clean. The mouth has many corners in which bacteria can collect. Brushing and flossing can be more effective when teeth are straight.
In addition to being healthier, straight teeth can also provide confidence. Many adults are now getting braces because they want to show off their smile.
