Teeth whitening treatment a winner for Valentines Day
Updated: 2/18/2008 3:50:25 PM

With the run-up to Valentines Day in mind, a dentist has offered romantics a few tips on how to make their smile more kissable.

According to Dr. Ronald Linden, there are a number of ways in which to ensure a smile is more attractive - with a teeth whitening procedure the most likely to produce positive results.

While Dr Linden concedes that there are over-the-counter whitening products to brighten up dark, yellow or grey teeth, he suggests that they won't work as well as the service a dentist can provide.

What's more, a dentist could also prescribe braces to help straighten teeth, and caps or veneers could be used to give a smile a whole new look.

Dental hygiene is also important – a mouth wash like Listerine is advocated to get rid of bacteria on the top of tongues, while a special tongue scraper could do a similar job.

While Mr Linden's assertions are not backed up by scientific evidence, he is confident they will lead to a happier February 14th.
