American Dental Association and Rite Aid publish free oral hygiene information The American Dental Association (ADA) and Rite Aid, a national drugstore chain, have launched a dental care campaign to inform people across the country about the importance of proper hygiene. One part of the national initiative is a series of free booklets that highlight several important dental care topics.

The guides feature at-home preventative methods for all patients, such as choosing the most effective toothpastes and knowing when to purchase a new toothbrush. The authors also included information for parents who are teaching their children about dental care beyond just brushing one's teeth.

People who take advantage of the availability of these booklets will also learn about how avoiding proper dental precautions can lead to serious health complications, including cardiovascular problems and diabetes.

The oral hygiene awareness campaign also include a series of step-by-step processes featured on Rite Aid's website, which will teach people about proper flossing and and tooth brushing.

In addition to these free sources of dental advice, families and individuals with little or no dental insurance can benefit from signing up for a discount dental plan. These cost-effective opportunities allow patients to see a dentist on a regular basis. This can provide them with a wider variety of treatment options.
