Dental care facility teams up with clergy to help Haiti

Morris Park Dental teams up with clergy to help Haiti To celebrate Dental Health Month, Morris Park Dental Associates in New York City has announced that it has partnered with the Latin/African American Chaplains Association to donate money to the Haitian relief effort in the aftermath of the January 12 earthquake that ravaged the island nation.

For each new patient treated, Morris Park Dental owner William Wolfson will donate $25 to Haiti, according to the New York Post.

"After the earthquake hit, we donated over $1 million in medical supplies through a combined effort," said Bishop Fernando Rodriquez of the Latin/African American Chaplains Association.

"This will be an ongoing effort," he added. "We would like to thank Morris Park Dental for partnering with us."

The dental center also plans to use a nearby vacant storefront as a donation collection facility. Wolfson is hoping to collect clothes, first-aid equipment and toiletries, which will be distributed to the people of Haiti by the Latin/African American Chaplains Association.
