New implant added to dental health market

The Food and Drug Administration has approved a new product that hopes to lessen the amount of time required for a dental implant to integrate into the jawbone.

Following the clearance for marketing, Manhattan Scientifics' titanium metal dental implants are set to go on sale to dentists across the country.

The product is composed of a new form of titanium metal that was originally created by a partnership of scientists in Russia and the U.S.

According to some research findings, these dental care products may allow the bone to integrate much more quickly than other options - up to 20 times faster.

The manufacturers of these new dental implants say they should provide patients with a shorter healing time after surgery and better results.

According to the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, dental implants may often be a better option for replacing missing teeth than either bridges or dentures.

Some of the advantages offered by implants include the fact that they do not slip, make noises or need to be replaced due to decay.

The American Dental Association recommends that people consult with their dentist to determine the best path for addressing missing teeth.
