Step 1 – Getting Started
Please click on the following link to access the Yahoo Search Marketing sign up page. When you get there, make sure United States is the selected country on the left and click "Continue."
Step 2 – Select Keywords that Relate to Your Products or Services
Much like Google, Yahoo gives you the ability to find some keywords directly through their site. This page is where our Keyword Portal will benefit you the most. After downloading our Keyword List, you can then pick and choose which keywords you would like to use and just copy and paste them into the window.
Step 3 – Write a Title and Description for Your Keywords
Yahoo allows you much more space for your ad than Google, so feel free to be more conversational and have a stronger call to action with the ad text you use. Remember to hit the main points and you may also want to switch them up fairly regularly until you hit on something that starts to work well. So the main points here are to write a concise headline and an informative description.
Step 4 – Enter Your Bids and Determine Your Budget
Now Yahoo will show you the current live bids for the keywords that you have selected and will allow you to set exactly where your ad will appear for those chosen keywords by selecting how much you would like to bid. They will also give you an estimate as to how many clicks you can expect and what your budget will be for the month. Remember to stay within your budget and to start out small, you can then work your way up once you see some conversions.
Step 5 – Enter Your Contact Information

Congratulations! You now have active Pay-Per-Click Accounts in the two largest online search engines. Remember to check your stats regularly and contact your Affiliate Manager with any questions about your numbers.
